At LAMA Language Services, we are passionate about bridging communication gaps and promoting inclusivity through professional American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation. Based in Palm Coast, Florida, our dedicated team of interpreters bring decades of experience to a wide range of industries, including healthcare, education, business, legal, and more.
Our Story
LAMA Language Services was founded by husband and wife duo, Lyndsey and Andrew, who share a deep commitment to enhancing communication for the deaf community. Andrew, a Child of Deaf Adult (CODA), has always worked closely with the deaf community, in addition to his experience in the automotive field. Lyndsey began learning ASL in 2009, after working in a busy hospital lab in Massachusetts, bringing a unique perspective to her interpreting career.
The couple's journey took a significant turn when they moved to California and decided to pursue interpreting as their full-time profession. Andrew began working in Video Relay Services (VRS), while Lyndsey transitioned into school interpreting before eventually joining Andrew in VRS. Throughout their careers, they have remained active in community interpreting, dedicating their time to support various events and initiatives.
Recently, both Lyndsey and Andrew went back to school and completed their Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration, which inspired them to officially establish their own interpreting agency
